DATA SECURITY

As Lukas Michel Management Insights (Management Insights, "we", "us", "our"), we offer digital twin management services through our website (www.management-insights.ch) that include a survey and personal information ("Survey data"). All information collected about participants, our client’s leaders and employees ("Your", "They", "Them"), is processed in compliance with the provisions under the Swiss Data Protection Act ("DPA") and General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), as amended from time to time (collectively "Regulation").

This Survey Data Security Policy ("Data Security") explains how we collect, transmit, aggregate, disseminate, and present any survey information we collect about Them when They subscribe to and use our services as chosen in the Service Agreement ("Services") and when using this website ("Website") in line with our Terms and Conditions.

Our surveys have been developed over the past 20 years. They are founded in solid research and are scientifically tested.

The surveys are exclusively available to our clients. More than 400 clients worldwide have used our surveys that feed digital twins for a deep analysis of management and organizations.

As such, the protection of Your information is important to us.

What survey information do we collect?

Clients, Their leaders and employees respond to questions of the survey out of their fee will. All information on the data collected by the questionnaire is confidential.

The survey information we collect from respondents includes assessments about organization, work and management in their company.

The information from every respondent is collected as a record ("data record") that includes the respondent responses as numbers or letters without the related questions.

No one except us can relate questions to responses from the data records.

Each data record includes the respondent’s response ID, submission date, time and language.

On demand by clients, in order to control participation or to structure respondent information, we collect the names, email address and organizational affiliation from the survey participants.

Where is the survey information located?

The survey questions are hosted by www.alchemer.com, Boulder, CO, USA, and operated by Lukas Michel Management Insights, Zuoz, Switzerland. The survey is accessible through a client-specific dedicated webpage on the Management Insights website (management-insights.ch), operated by the Cloudrexx CMS (Content Management System) and hosted by www.cloudrexx.com, Thun, Switzerland.

The Management Insights account with Alchemer (Number 556495) is hosted in their US data center with helpful documentation on their Privacy Policy (https://www.alchemer.com/privacy/).

We operate a central server, located in Zuoz, Switzerland, that hosts the survey information and software to aggregate and report the survey information. The surveys server is disconnected from the internet and only accessible through one local PC.

What happens with survey information?

Clients access the surveys through a dedicated web page on management-insights.ch with a link that refers to a client-specific, dedicated Alchemer survey (survey) as part of the Lukas Michel Management Insights account.

When participants interrupt the questionnaire, they are asked to provide their email address to receive a specific link that allows them to continue their survey at another time. After reception of the email, the email address is immediately deleted.

When a participant terminates the assessment early without interrupting it for later conduct then no data will be recorded and evaluated. It will be deleted.

Once the survey part of a survey project is finished, e.g. when all participants have responded to the online questions, the entire data set (all client records) are removed (and deleted) from Alchemer and transferred to the Management Insights server.

The manual data transfer from Alchemer to the Management Insights server is performed through a dedicated PC that connects Alchemer (its backend website) with the Management Insights server (A local file directory).

With the software located on the Management Insights server, one dedicated Management Insights employee aggregates every data record into one data set per client and translates that survey information into various reports and presentations.

Responses from the survey are presented in an aggregate manner and, therefore, no individual responses can be identified at any time by clients and partners.

Data on the Alchemer server allways is encrypted.

After the aggregation and analysis of the survey information, the individual data records are deleted. Only aggregated statistical information and result reports (as PDF documents) are kept as records.

Personal and company related statistical information such as IP address, name, organization, and email, are recorded separately from the responses and are deleted irrecoverably after the assessment.

Individual respondents cannot be identified through the final reports and presentations. Exceptions are our free survey and the Digital Twin for Executives, where one executive answers the questions.

Clients and partners have no access and in no circumstances get access to individual data records.

Management Insights may feedback participant names, email addresses and their organizational affiliation back to the client but without any related survey information for the purpose of controlling participation.

The final reports (as PDF documents and PowerPoint presentations) are then printed and handed over to the dedicated Management Insights partner via Email or by hand.

Every client project is accompanied by one dedicated Management Insights employee that operates the survey information with access to Alchemer, the client-specific survey information, and the Management Insights server. And, every client is supported by one dedicated Management Insights partner that maintains the client relationship. Partners only have access to final reports and presentations but not the source survey information.

For the purpose of our management research, we separate the final aggregated survey information from any client specific information (company name). Nowhere in our research and publications, We refer to the specifics of a client.

No data (survey information, reports, presentations) is provided to unrelated third parties. The access to the data is restricted to one Management Insights employee dedicated to the specific survey project, the transmission, aggregation, evaluation of the results, and the production and dissemination of the reports and presentations.

Data Transmission

Any survey information is transmitted through SSL secured codification.

The Management Insights website uses a dedicated SSL secured code, and the survey with Alchemer uses a second, separate SSL secured codification.
